About

The person behind the weather

Builder, writer, systems thinker, creative technologist. The work moves between speech engines, sports intelligence, games, mechanisms, creative tools and fiction — because they keep turning out to be the same handful of questions wearing different coats.

How the work goes

Start with a question that won't leave. Build the smallest honest version of an answer. Keep the parts that hold weight, compost the rest. Most projects here began as a note in the Greenhouse and earned their way out.

The duality

The Renegade explores, decides and makes. Rain is the persistent partner: memory, pattern, continuity — the part that remembers why a decision was made three months after the decision. This site is the public edge of that system.

What keeps pulling at the work

Memory

What a system should remember — a voice, a league's history, a round of golf — and what it should let go.

Narrative

Stories as structures: how meaning becomes performance, on the page and out loud.

Interfaces

Speaking first, scenes instead of pages, direction instead of knobs.

Intelligent systems

AI as collaborator and record-keeper, with the human still holding the pen.

Games

Play as a way of thinking — bluffing, choosing, getting away with it.

Mechanisms

Things that physically move, where tolerances are honest and CAD meets metal.
